NDSU to add supercomputer for AI research

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – North Dakota State is being awarded nearly $4 million through the National Science Foundation to add a supercomputer for AI research.

In a press release from the school, they’re naming the system ‘Bison’ which can advance research in agriculture and food security, healthcare, energy, environment, and much more according to the school.

NDSU has over 60 research groups that will be able to use this supercomputer for educational purposes. The Bison system will find its home in the datacenter of NDSU’s CCAST. There’s no confirmation in the press release when NDSU plans to roll out the supercomputer
